  • Hmmm.....

is it really that hard to go back to being friends once you have broken up with someone?
It has never been an issue with me. whenever i get out of a relationship i always want to remain friends with that person, but the road never goes back ways. i talked to some of my girlfriends about it and they had the same opinion as the guys. it feels like i am the only person who wants to be friends with a guy after we break up.

  • Nope you aren't, 90% of the people i've been in a relationship with, we've remained friends. There are problems of reminiscing about the past and things can spark up again and this can be problematic. Also you can't be in contact with them weekly anymore like before...you just have to be floating friend for them.

My last relationship was definitely hard for me to be friends with her, cause she still cared for me when we broke up. I had to be angry at her in order for me to have time to myself...which lead to "the bet".

  • I always tried to remain friends.

  • It's very hard, or it can be very easy. It depends on the terms the relationship ended on. And with younger people, those terms usually aren't very good at all. But you're a reasonable well rounded person, so I don't see why it would be much of an issue with you.

  • You get Jim if I can have Pam.

    deal?

  • @garon - yeah, never thought of it like that... floating friends. i like that.
@fragilewalls - MATT! when are we going to get food. i know when.. this weekend. @JustWatchTheFireworks1 - im okay with this. i think im getting the better deal.

  • I wish I could still be friends with her.
