Black Hole
There has been a lot of talk about the Large Hardon Collider and how it could destroy the world. The collider creates mini black holes that evaporate within seconds. Some say that this collider will create a massive black hole that will either swallow the earth and take it to another dimension, let something into our world from another dimension, or basic world destruction. But, don't worry.... the collider won't have enough power until around 2011/2012.
There is a lot of controversy around this experiment, but if all goes to plan scientists could find anti-matter (the glue that hold the universe together), energy resources, and possibly the "god-cell" (big bang theory). If it doesn't go to plan: we all die.
Here is where I started getting interested: The Mayan and Aztec calender. These two ancient cultures made predictions through astrology. Both calenders end in December 2012. (Google that shit)

You make a good point here about the calendars ending. I really hope the world doesnt end then, but two cultures who predicted their own demise predicting ours kinda creeps me out =(
@Tucker547 - well if it is true... we wont find out until it happens. its just backs up my soul philosophy about life: live everyday like it is your last.. or in this case... live these last four year like they are your last.
